Michelle Breslin, Associate

  • Michelle is originally from London. At school Michelle developed a loathing for mathematics and, on leaving, vowed never to touch figures again. It was no surprise, therefore, that her first job was in the accounts department of the BBC. She remained with the BBC in various roles for 11 years, and has a repertoire of war stories which could be used for blackmail purposes. Whilst at the BBC she studied for and gained a degree in English and History. On graduating, she vowed never to sit another exam.

After leaving the BBC, Michelle eventually discovered insolvency, working for two “Big 4” firms and another national practice, before joining Graham in 2003. She sat and passed her exams to qualify as an Insolvency Practitioner in 2006 (having forgotten her earlier vow).

In her spare time, apart from being a taxi-driver for her daughter, Michelle enjoys fine food and wine, and adding shoes to her collection – her dream is to be the liquidator of an up-market shoe shop. Being a city girl she enjoys city breaks, and is fortunate that her twin brother lives in Manhattan – where there are shoe shops aplenty.
